Silly question!!!
How come the Latin nation and linguists could not come with a single letter for the sound "sh"???
Isn't it annoying to have to write two letters for a genuine and original sound??
I hope this happens on my life time, because it is time already.

well i guess all possible shapes to make that letter were taken
so i guess we still have to live with it
OR we can avoid words with SH in em :)
I wish we can. There was a joke once suggesting that we omit letters like "c" which is used either as "k" or "s", and also removing the unpronounced letters.... and so on it turns out to be so funny at the end.
